The Lexa HD’s take the very popular and well respected Lexa to a new level of refinement and performance, with 25 lbs of drag capable on the 400 and 22 lbs on the 300 you have enough stopping power to deal with white seabass, tarpon, yellowtail, dorado and sailfish (and more). On our 2019 Royal Polaris charter I saw one of the other fishermen using a 400 HD to tame tuna at Guadalupe Island, and that says a lot about the capability of these excellent reels. These compact baitcasters can toss a lure beautifully, and they have enough line capacity and drag to deal with most fish you’ll encounter. Of course with their levelwind design they make life easier for those doing a lot of cast and retrieve style fishing with artificials.
